Terms of use

The service
SwipeShip is a free, non-commercial project run by Enrique Achacoso (see Impressum). It shows project ideas based on public sources, lets you save and claim them, and verifies ships with public GitHub repos. By using SwipeShip you agree to these terms.
External content
Idea cards are generated, partly with AI, from public posts, repositories and tutorials on sites we don't control (GitHub, Hacker News, dev.to and others). Summaries, difficulty and time estimates can be wrong. Linked projects and tutorials belong to their authors and are subject to their own licenses and terms — check them before you reuse any code. We aren't responsible for the content of external sites.
No guarantee
SwipeShip is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it is available, error-free or that data such as XP and streaks is kept forever. Features may change or be discontinued. We are liable only for intent and gross negligence, and in any case for personal injury, as far as the law allows this limitation; mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
Fair use
Please don't:
- scrape the site, automate requests or try to get around rate limits and daily search limits;
- submit repos you don't own, or otherwise fake ships or XP;
- attack, overload or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission;
- use SwipeShip for anything unlawful.
We may limit or delete accounts that break these rules.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub or Google and must be at least 14 years old. Shipping and public profiles need a connected GitHub account. You can delete your account at any time from the avatar menu; see the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
Law and changes
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; if you use SwipeShip as a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in still apply. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: achacoso.enrique [at] gmail.com.
